A Tonawanda Street woman was arrested Monday after entering an Amherst Street liquor store and demanding money, police said.
Ashley Steffens, 25, covered her face with a shirt as she entered Gambino Liquors and warned that she had a gun, said the police report.
Before the liquor store holdup, police added, Steffens entered a nearby Family Dollar store, covered her face with a blue shirt and also announced that she had a gun. Police said she tried to open a cash register in the store before fleeing the scene.
Steffens was charged with two counts of third-degree robbery. The police report does not say if she was armed or escaped with any goods,
