Vandals armed with a BB gun damaged two bus shelters on Grant Street and a dozen vehicles in a nearby West Side neighborhood, police said Wednesday.
The bus shelters are situated on Grant at Auburn Avenue and West Delavan Avenue, and the automobiles were parked in the Arnold Street-Parkdale Avenue area, police said.
Surveillance camera video is being reviewed in an attempt to learn the identity of the vandals, police said.
Three glass panels were damaged, causing $1,875 damage, according to C. Douglas Hartmayer, spokesman for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.
“The NFTA police are working collaboratively with the Buffalo police to find the individual or individuals that did this so that we can prosecute to the fullest extent,” Hartmayer said.
Anyone with information on the incidents is asked to call or text the Buffalo Police Department’s confidential TIP-CALL line at 847-2255 or submit information via the “Report a Tip” function on www.bpdny.org.
