Robert John, 57, who was arraigned Wednesday before State Supreme Court Justice John L. Michalski, faces two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of alcohol in a vehicle and driving on the shoulder of the road.
Johnson’s 8-year-old grandson was in the front seat of his car as he drove on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of East Delavan about 9:20 p.m., according to prosecutors.
After his arrest, he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.22 percent, almost three times the state’s legal limit. He could face up to four years in prison.
