A Buffalo man remained in stable condition Saturday at Erie County Medical Center after an attacker stabbed him in the chest Friday night.
The attack occurred just before 10 p.m. on Byrd Way, off Jefferson Avenue between William and Clinton streets, according to a police report. The victim, Lynn Johnson, 56, of Kosciuszko Street, told Buffalo police another man stabbed him in the chest. Johnson then walked to his daughter’s house down the street, where an ambulance took him to ECMC.
In a separate incident early Saturday morning, Damone Patton, 21, of Sumner Place, told police he was walking near Sumner, off Doat Street, when he was attacked by three males who approached him from behind. Patton said that during the attack, just after midnight, he was hit in the head with a knife and stabbed multiple times in the right shoulder and left leg, according to a Buffalo Police report.
Patton told police the assailants took $190 in cash and a cellphone. He was treated at ECMC, then released.
