A Batavia man was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara to 56 months in prison for taking an underage girl out of state for the purpose of having sex with her.
Timothy Logsdon, 29, had previously admitted his intention to take the victim to Tennessee where they planned to live together and carry on a relationship.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Maura K. O’Donnell said the investigation into Logsdon began when the parents of the 16-year-old girl reported her missing and indicated she might be with him. The two were later found in Bowling Green, Ky.
