The more recent occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, when Wyoming County sheriff’s deputies broke up a large underage drinking party in a remote location off Route 19 and Wyoming Road in the Town of Covington. Deputies from Wyoming and Genesee counties, along with troopers from the state police at Warsaw, apprehended 91 people, 73 of whom were under 21, while many others fled.

The three people accused of coordinating the party were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal nuisance and conspiracy, according to police reports. They were identified as Robert W. Jeffres, 20; Kailene E. Jeffres, 19; and Alex T. Jeffres, 19, all of Wyoming.

At about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Orleans County sheriff’s deputies broke up a drinking party attended by at least 60 people in a wooded area south of New Guinea Road in the Town of Clarendon, authorities said. Nineteen people between 18 and 20 years old were charged with alcohol possession by a person under 21.
