PERRY – A two-car crash at Route 20A and Silver Lake Road Sunday afternoon sent two women to area hospitals, officials said.
Patricia Coy, 63, of Spencerport was driving north on Silver Lake Road at 3:50 p.m. and failed to yield at a stop sign, investigators said. Her car was T-boned by a car driven by Keri Whewell, 36, of Stoney Creek, Ont., and forced into a treet, according to authorities.
Coy, who had to be freed from the wreckage, was taken by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, police said. She is expected to recover, authorities said.
Whewell, who was taken to Wyoming County Community Hospital, suffered possible neck and back injuries, officials said.
