A Kenmore bookkeeper pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny, admitting that she stole $18,544 from Classic Fence and Lumber Co. Inc., Amherst, where she worked, Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III announced Tuesday.

Krystal T. Rains, of Eiseman Avenue, stole the money from April to June of 2012, Sedita said. She faces a maximum of seven years in prison and will be sentenced Aug. 27.

Rains wrote checks to herself and used the owner’s stamped signature without permission, and also stole a customer’s $4,600 cash payment for a job, and attempted to cover it up, officials said.

Rains had two prior felony convictions for thefts, authorities said.
