A property-damage crash in the Town of Alden late Sunday led to a Rochester man being arrested and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, Erie County sheriff’s officials said.
Deputies responded at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday to the property-damage crash on Genesee Street at Reinhardt Road, where one of the vehicles had left the scene.
Witnesses followed the fleeing vehicle and reported its direction of travel to dispatchers, who relayed the information to responding deputies. Deputy Gene Nati caught the vehicle and stopped it, leading to the arrest of Amin Jeilani, 21, according to authorities. Jeilani also was charged with marijuana possession.
