A Mayville man faces drunken driving charges after state police said he wrecked his car Sunday before fleeing the scene on foot.
Troopers said they saw a damaged and abandoned truck on Route 430 in Sherman before tracking down Jared Sundlov, 23. Investigators said Sundlov drove the truck while intoxicated, veered off the road and fled the crash scene.
Sundlov was arrested and taken to the state police barracks in Jamestown where he registered a 0.15 percent blood-alcohol content, troopers said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued several tickets, including one for leaving the scene of an accident.
Sundlov is scheduled to appear in Sherman Town Court at a later date, police said.
