A 35-year-old woman shot in during an argument in the front of a Broadway deli Tuesday night has been treated and released from Erie County Medical Center, but the 22-year-old man also shot during the incident remains hospitalized at ECMC, Buffalo police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge said today.
Police are still not releasing the names of the victims, but DeGeorge said the man wounded in the shooting did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, a search continues for the gunman who wounded both victims at the Broadway Convenience Deli on Broadway near Mohr Street about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. The shooting started with a conflict of some sort at the store entrance and was not linked to a robbery attempt, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police by calling or texting their confidential tip line at 847-2255 or going to www.bpny.org.
