A four-vehicle crash on an entrance ramp to the Niagara Thruway near downtown Buffalo closed two of the highway’s three southbound lanes for about 45 minutes during the height of this morning’s rush hour, the Thruway-based State Police reported.
Only minor injuries were reported in the crash that occurred at about 8:10 a.m. where the Niagara Street entrance ramp meets the southbound highway. The crash and the resulting cleanup of all the broken glass forced authorities to close the on-ramp, along with the right and center southbound lanes.
All lanes were reopened near the end of the morning rush hour, just before 9 a.m.
