A Buffalo man convicted of robbing the Outback Steakhouse in Hamburg at gunpoint in September 2011 was sentenced Wednesday to six years in prison.

Joseph Tucker III, 30, was the only defendant to stand trial for the robbery of the McKinley Parkway restaurant. Three others who admitted participating in the robbery received prison sentences of either five or six years.

Because of Tucker’s past crimes in Georgia, State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns sentenced him as a second felony offender for his second-degree robbery conviction.

Tucker did not testify during his trial. He had faced a maximum of 15 years in prison.
