JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man and a Rochester couple are being held on weapons and stolen property charges following their arrest on Harrison Street behind the Big Lots store there about 2:30 p.m. today. One of the suspects was observed getting into a silver car as police officers arrived to investigate a gun incident.
Police stopped the car near the Arterial and South Main Street moments later. Bruce J. Miles, 24, of Rochester, fled the car but was quickly captured and charged with obstructing governmental administration. The driver of the car, Shamelle D. Warren, 21, of Rochester, was charged with obstructing justice and aggravated unlicensed driving.
A passenger in the car, Demarco Lathan, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with felony weapons possession after officers found a loaded handgun near him in the vehicle. All three are being held in the Chautauqua County Jail.
