The woman who said she was sexually assaulted last weekend in a residence hall at Buffalo State College has admitted that the crime did not occur, campus police said.
Police notified the college of the alleged assault on Saturday, but after an investigation – which included an interview with the person of interest – shared the new information with the campus community on Tuesday.
The woman student voluntarily came forward with the information, the college said.
