NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – A 26-year-old city man was being treated at Erie County Medical Center after he was injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Niagara Parkway Sunday night, Niagara Regional Police said.
The incident took place just before 11 p.m. when the driver, who was northbound on the parkway in a 1999 White Mercury Gran Marquis, drifted off the right side of the road, near Sherk Road, and struck a maple tree.
Investigators said the man’s injuries initially appeared to be life-threatening. He was taken to ECMC where he was listed in stable but serious condition.
His name was not released.
