Local police arrested four people for driving while intoxicated over the weekend following two accidents and an altercation with officers.
Erie County Sheriff’s deputies said they arrested Scott A. Decker, 36, of Chaffee for DWI at about 5:15 a.m. Sunday on West Avenue in Sardinia. Decker also is accused of resisting arrest after he first tried to run from deputies and then struggled with them.
Later in the day, Aubrey K. Gilbert, 22, of Buffalo was arrested for DWI after he struck two parked vehicles near Main Street and Highgate Avenue, Buffalo police said.
Also arrested for DWI was Love Curry, 22, of Wende Avenue, following a crash in the 1700 block of Amherst Street at about 10:10 p.m. Saturday, police said. Curry posted a blood-alcohol content of 0.15 percent, they added.
State police on Sunday charged a 16-year-old Clarence female with aggravated DWI after she was spotted driving north in the southbound lane of Transit Road in Clarence. Troopers said the girl posted a blood-alcohol content of 0.21 percent and also was charged with possession of marijuana.
