WHEATFIELD – A Niagara Falls man was arrested at gunpoint Friday, shortly after shoplifting more than $1,300 worth of perfume and cologne from the Sears store in the former Summit Park Mall.
Hassan K. Ford, 47, of Plaza Drive, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and faces an appearance in Wheatfield Town Court.
Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies said the suspect, who was spotted outside a Williams Road gas station, had several packages inside his clothing and in a bag, and refused to remove his hands from his pockets.
Deputies said they recovered 32 packages of colognes and perfumes.
