Two Buffalo firefighters were injured early Saturday morning in a blaze that caused $170,000 in damages to three South Buffalo homes and forced seven adults to seek emergency help from the Red Cross.
The fire was at least the fifth one in the city within 24 hours.
Neither firefighter was seriously injured, fire officials reported. One reported off-duty, while the other was being treated at a local hospital.
Firefighters responded to the 4:22 a.m. alarm at 175 Cazenovia St., just north of Cazenovia Park in South Buffalo. The fire broke out on the second floor and extended throughout the occupied 2½-story frame house.
Fire officials listed $125,000 damage for 175 Cazenovia, $35,000 worth for 173 Cazenovia and $10,000 for 177 Cazenovia.
The cause remains under investigation.
