A 56-year-old Sandrock Road man was charged with drunken driving, resisting arrest and obstructing officers for allegedly refusing to comply with police officers called to an injury accident scene Wednesday evening at Hinman Avenue and Military Road.
Walter L. Raczka had to be forcibly handcuffed and placed in a patrol car after he pulled out a folded knife. Officer said he had glassy, bloodshot eyes, was unsteady on his feet and gave off a strong odor of alcohol. At police headquarters he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.21 percent, nearly three times the legal limit.
He was charged with two counts of drunken driving and single counts of resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration.
