Erie County Sheriff’s deputies found a woman passed out behind the wheel of a car that was halfway into a ditch on the side of a road in Akron Tuesday, officials said.
Kristen M. Pequeen, 32, of Akron appeared highly intoxicated, deputies said. Pequeen refused to provide a breath sample to determine her blood alcohol content.
As a result, sheriff’s officials said they would notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles about her refusal, which would trigger the immediate suspension of her driver’s license.
Pequeen was charged with driving while intoxicated and is scheduled to appear in Clarence Town Court at a later date.
