DARIEN – A man was killed and a woman seriously injured early Wednesday morning in a two-car crash on Route 238, Genesee County Sheriff’s officials said.
At about 6 a.m., Timothy Beszczynski, 25, of Darien was eastbound in a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer when he collided head on with a westbound 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Mary P. Dufour, 59, of Dale. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
Beszczynski was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dufour was taken to Erie County Medical Center with a fractured leg and other injuries, officials said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
