Buffalo police officers working on a case involving the robbery of a pizza delivery man ended up solving an unrelated matter early Tuesday, when they found a woman standing outside a nearby house who was wanted in a stabbing from earlier this year.
Officers were called to East Delavan Avenue about 1:30 a.m. to check on the robbery report when they saw Vanessa M. Medina, 24, of East Delavan, according to a police report.
Medina was arrested for allegedly cutting a man’s hand with a knife during a Brunswick Boulevard argument last March 31. She was charged with second-degree assault, criminal mischief and weapons possession.
The pizza delivery robbery remains under investigation.
