Two men were charged and a third suspect is being sought with trying to steal a West Side woman’s home furnace late last week, Buffalo police reported Monday.
Emmanuel Mardenborough, of Chenango Street, and Kelvin Calcano, whose address was unlisted, both 20, were charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief by Officers Mark Vara and Kelly Craig.
Mardenborough and Calcano were arrested in a vehicle in front of a woman’s house early Thursday on West Avenue, shortly after she called 911.
The woman told the officers she saw a third man wearing an LA Kings jacket walking in her backyard as she called 911, after hearing people in her basement trying to remove her furnace, police said
The officers said they found the back door of the woman’s house kicked in and the gas line to the house cut.
