NIAGARA FALLS – A $15,000 car was among the items stolen from a garage on College Avenue while a family was on vacation.
A 56-year-old man told Niagara Falls police Sunday that when they returned home to the 400 block of College Avenue, the garage and the house had been burglarized.
He said the family’s 2011 Mini Cooper was gone and an electric meter box was removed.
Inside the house a silver dining service was stolen, two 36-inch television sets were taken, multiple CDs were found on the floor, and diamond jewelry, a flashlight and two gym bags were taken.
Total loss and damage amounted to more than $18,500, police reported.
