A 69-year-old Lackawanna man was being treated for hypothermia in Erie County Medical Center after being rescued from the Union Ship Canal on Saturday afternoon.
Buffalo Police said the man was tossed a sling and pulled from the water. The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. South District officers were assisted by Buffalo firefighters and the Buffalo Police Underwater Recovery Team.
