A 34-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both of them from Niagara Falls, were arrested for trying to steal merchandise from the Target store at 2626 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo and fighting with store security officers after they were stopped at the front door about 6 p.m. Sunday.
Christine Altman and Marquis Prather were charged with attempted grand larceny and harassment. Altman was charged with possession of burglar’s tools after police searched her purse. She also was charged with false personation for allegedly giving police “numerous fake names” before her identity was confirmed.
Prather was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and with criminal contempt for reportedly ignoring court orders to stay away from Altman.
