A woman suspected in multiple bank robberies was arrested Wednesday afternoon, not long after a woman held up the Bank of America branch at 670 Main St., East Aurora, a couple doors from Vidler’s 5 and 10, village police report.

Orchard Park Detective Lt. Pat McMaster, investigating a similar case in Orchard Park, responded after hearing a call about the robbery at 3:45 p.m. and apprehended Ashley Reardon, 25, on foot about 5 p.m. near Main and Pine streets.

She gave police a Buffalo address, but East Aurora Police Lt. Shane Krieger said it was determined she was living in Hamburg. East Aurora Detective Rick Daminski said Reardon is being questioned about bank robberies in Hamburg and Orchard Park.

Charged with third-degree robbery and petit larceny, she was arraigned before Aurora Town Justice Jeffrey Markello and sent to the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Also arrested was Louis DiFlavio Jr., 43, of Blasdell, who police said was driving a pickup truck that matched the description of a vehicle leaving the scene of the robbery. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and released on $1,500 bail.
