Orchard Park police are investigating the report of a teenage boy being approached Saturday morning by a white man on Larned Lane in the village.
The man asked the teen if he needed help and asked him to get in the vehicle, police said. The incident occurred at about 11 a.m.
The teen did not get in the man’s car and safely returned home, according to a letter sent home to families today by Orchard Park School Superintendent Matthew P. McGarrity.
The suspect was reported to be a balding white man in his 60s, with white hair. He was reportedly driving a red mini-van with numerous scratches.
School transportation staff and district employees were notified of the incident.
