COVINGTON – The driver and a passenger were hurt shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday, when a sport utility vehicle struck a pole along Silver Lake Road, Warsaw-based troopers reported.
Brooke E. Valentino, 17, of Leicester, was charged with moving from a lane unsafely and having an expired registration on her SUV, which landed on its side after the impact.
Valentino was released after treatment in Wyoming County Community Hospital, while her passenger, Morgan Rose of Piffard, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Also in Wyoming County Sunday, in an unrelated case, troopers charged Howard J. Roll, 29, of Oakfield, with driving while intoxicated and a lane violation after pulling him over at 2:15 a.m. on Bank Street in Middlebury.
