JAMESTOWN – A 24-year-old Jamestown man who was stopped by state police as he drove through the Town of Ellicott about 2:30 a.m. Sunday without using his headllights was charged with driving while intoxicated and other offenses.
Jeremy S. Pognant was stopped on Dow Street and troopers found a strong odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from his car. After 22 grams of marijuana were found in the vehicle he also tested for a blood-alcohol level of 0.11 per cent. After being also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed driving and failure to use headlights he was released to a third party pending Ellicott Town Court proceedings in several weeks.
