A Wales man was arrested Friday night on the Aurora Expressway in Elma by an Erie County sheriff’s deputy, who charged him with driving while intoxicated.
The deputy responded to a report of a vehicle stopped on the expressway, also known as Route 400, with a passed-out driver inside.
The deputy arrested Javon S. Hoskins, 32, and charged him with DWI, illegal parking on the highway, and operating with an open alcoholic beverage. The Sheriff’s Office said a breath test determined his blood alcohol content was 0.17 percent. Hoskins was released on appearance tickets.
The Sheriff’s Office said this was the 19th DWI arrest by its road patrols this year
