A Limestone man pleaded not guilty this week to attempted murder and other charges before Cattaraugus County Judge Ronald D. Ploetz in Little Valley.
Justin R. Cramer, 32, was also indicted by a grand jury on charges of first- and second-degree assault and felony weapons charges for allegedly stabbing a man several times during an argument Dec. 12 with the owner of a Limestone Run Road home in Carrollton, according to District Attorney Lori Pettit Rieman. The homeowner was treated at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., and continues to recover from multiple stab wounds.

• Dean E. Pepper, 41, of Franklinville, pleaded guilty to felony unlawful imprisonment and third-degree assault for assaulting and choking a woman in his car on the side of Route 219 in the Town of Carrollton last Nov. 25. Pettit Rieman said Pepper was initially confronted by Seneca Nation marshals who stopped him from attacking the woman and turned the case over the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. Pepper faces sentencing April 7.
• Juanita M. Rivera, 37, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 as a passenger when she was arrested in the Town of Red House last Oct. 5. She faces sentencing April 7.
• Sasha M. Pressey, 27, of Olean, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging her with fourth-degree grand larceny, welfare fraud, filing a false instrument, possession of a forged instrument and felony forgery for allegedly illegally obtaining more than $1,000 in public assistance last August.
• Starr S. Kitchen, 25, of Olean, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth-degree for a drug deal in Olean last March 16. She faces sentencing April 7.
• Kevin C. Callahan, 25, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of criminal mischief for damaging property of another person in the Town of Randolph last May 25. He faces sentencing April 7.
• Samantha J. Miller, 27, of Salamanca, pleaded not guilty to an indictment charging her with two felony counts of driving while intoxicated, one count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and various vehicle and traffic law violations for her arrest in the City of Salamanca when she had a blood alcohol reading of 0.16 percent, twice the state’s legal limit and at a time when she knew her license had been suspended for an earlier incident.
• Donald J. Gleason, 25, of Salamanca, waived indictment and pleaded guilty to a felony charge of failing to register with the New York State Sex Offender Registry after changing his address in Cattaraugus County. He faces sentencing May 27.
• Jeffrey E. Flint, 43, of Olean, was ordered to serve five years of probation, perform 100 hours of community service, and use an ignition interlock system in his vehicles for a year after his privilege to drive returns in one year for his conviction for aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 and aggravated unlicensed driving for an incident in Olean last April 6.
• Fallon M. Smith 28, of Delavan, was placed on probation for five years and ordered to make full restitution to the county on her grand larceny and felony welfare fraud conviction for illegally obtaining food stamps and spending a tax return debit card she had no right to use from August 2011 through September 2012 when authorities said she was getting child support from the father of her children.
