OLCOTT – A Molotov cocktail was discovered in the car of a man who had been ejected from a Main Street bar early Saturday, authorities said.
Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies said they went to Time Out 2 shortly after 1 a.m. to investigate an unruly and intoxicated patron who had just driven off. Deputies said while at the scene, the patron returned.
Douglas L. Roy Jr., 44, of South Transit Road, Town of Lockport, failed several field sobriety tests and scuffled with officers before trying to flee, said deputies, adding that he was rrested after being threatened with a Taser.
Deputies said they found the firebomb in the center console of the suspect’s car. Roy was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
