NIAGARA FALLS – A 72-year-old man told police that his front door was forced open sometime between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday and a collection of decorative knives that had been displayed on the wall in the front foyer was stolen from his house in the 600 block of 19th Street.
The victim said four decorative knives, valued at $160, had been on display. In addition to the knives, someone also took a black iPad, valued at $400, from an upstairs bedroom.
Police said damage to the entry door is consistent with the door being kicked in, but no shoe prints were found on the door.
