A car struck the back of a stopped school bus at East River Road and Edgewater Drive in Grand Island this morning, Grand Island Fire Company officials said.
There were 10 children from Huth Road Elementary School on board but none was injured.
The driver of the car, identified as Alex Mytinger, 22, of Grand Island, was evaluated by paramedics at the scene but declined to be taken to the hospital.
Officials said the bus was stopped with its warning lights flashing when the collision occurred at about 8:30 a.m.
The incident is being investigated by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.
