WILSON – Thieves had to remove a snowmobile from a Shadigee Road shed to get at two all-terrain vehicles they stole on Thursday, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.
The unlocked shed was targeted overnight, and gasoline from snowmobiles was used to fuel the ATVs, deputies said. A gas cap from a snowmobiles also was stolen.
Deputies said they followed ATV tracks to a nearby roadway, where the thieves parked their vehicle. The stolen ATVs included a 2010 Polaris 500 and a 2011 Polaris. The loss was placed at $9,000.
