A Niagara Falls cocaine dealer was sentenced Thursday to 30 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

John L. Maye, 40, of Pierce Avenue, also was sentenced Friday to two years in prison by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III, but that sentence will be served simultaneously with the federal time.

In Federal Court, Maye admitted to a violation of the terms of his supervised release on charges of selling and distributing cocaine. In Niagara County Court, Maye pleaded guilty to selling 0.82 ounces of that drug Sept. 9 in the Falls.

Maye told Murphy he intends to move to another state after he is released from prison.
