ARCADE— A woman who applied for welfare benefits in Wyoming County has been charged with third degree welfare fraud and filing a false instrument, according to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s office.
Debbi Turk, 60, is alleged to have omitted information about her income on her application for benefits which. according to Wyoming County Department of Social Services fraud investigators, allowed Turk to obtain public benefits to which she was not entitled. Turk was arraigned in State Supreme Court in Wyoming County and held at the Wyoming County Jail without bail.
