GAINESVILLE – A Warsaw woman faces five charges after her vehicle wound up in a ditch off Route 19 on Christmas morning, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Rose H. Chiauzzi, 21, of West Court Street, was charged with possession of marijuana, failure to stop at a stop sign, unsafe lane change, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater. She was issued tickets to appear Jan. 20 in Gainesville Town Court.
Deputies said that Chiauzzi was driving on Route 19A about 5:30 a.m. and ran through the stop sign at Route 19, ending up in ditch. After a field sobriety test, officers reported, she was charged with DWI and later registered 0.15 on a breath test.
