NEWFANE – Firefighters extinguished a blaze on Hess Road late Saturday night and saved several family pets in the process, officials said. No injuries were reported.
The fire at 1912 Hess was reported shortly after 11 p.m., Saturday. Authorities said smoke and flames were shooting out of the first floor when fire companies arrived at the home.
The fire was quickly extinguished. Officials said no one was injured, and the family pets were saved. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The Miller Hose and Olcott volunteer fire companies were at the scene, along with the Wrights Corners and Barker companies.
