NIAGARA FALLS – Police investigating a downtown apartment burglary early Friday were targeted by brick-throwing vandals, according to reports.
Two officers probing the break-in the Crick Court housing complex shortly after 3 a.m. heard a loud noise and noticed several broken bricks on the roadway around their patrol cars. One cruiser was dented by the missiles, police said.
Officers checking a vacant residence on nearby Sixth Street discovered a possible copper plumbing theft, with water flowing from a broken pipe in the basement.
