Two unrelated shootings occurred early Saturday morning in two different locations in Buffalo, police reported

The first attack occurred at about 1:25 a.m. in the 200 block of West Delavan Avenue, where a fight involving several people left a West Delavan Avenue man shot in the buttocks.

The man was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where he was listed in fair condition late Saturday morning.

The other shooting, which occurred at about 5:40 a.m. Saturday, followed a home invasion on Carl Street, one block east of Grider Street, south of Northland Avenue. The victim told Northeast District police that two unknown men dressed in dark clothing entered the home with a rifle and shot him in the left cheek and right knee, before fleeing with more than $500.

That victim also was taken to ECMC.
