NEWFANE – A rear sliding glass door was shattered to gain entry to a home in the 7000 block of Dublin Avenue on Monday, according to Niagara County sheriff’s deputies.
The 57-year-old homeowner told deputies that sometime between 7:50 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday someone forced their way inside and ransacked the house. She said three laptops, a wireless router and a large amount of jewelry, including five diamond bracelets and a ruby necklace, were stolen. A television was also damaged in the break-in. Loss and damage were listed at $3,700.
