LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to his third drug felony on Friday was sent to the state prison system’s secure treatment facility, which has failed to break him of his addiction to cocaine in the past.

Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas allowed defense attorney James J. Faso Jr. to talk her into sending Ramone A. Westbrook back to Willard Correctional Facility. Westbrook, 30, of Whitney Avenue, had pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for having 0.18 ounce of cocaine in the Falls on May 9, 2012.

If Westbrook relapses, he will serve three years in a regular cell, followed by two years of post-release supervision, Farkas ordered.
