JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown Police S.W.A.T. team and a State Police Special Operations Response Team arrested a man on drug and weapons charges when they executed a search warrant at two residences on Fulton Street just before dawn Wednesday, Jamestown Police reported.
Juan J. Rivera, 33, of Fulton Street, was charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a firearm after a loaded pistol was found in his home. He was being held in City Jail pending arraignment. His arrest follows several months of investigation by city police and troopers, Police Chief Harry L. Snellings said. More arrests are expected.
