MEDINA – A Carlton man and Medina woman were arrested Tuesday following a six-month probe into a prescription drug ring in Medina, authorities said.
The suspects were identified as Jackie L. Sponaugle Jr., 22, of Ashwood Road, Carlton and Gale V. Morehouse, 52, of Church Street, Medina.
Sponaugle is charged with counts of criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. Shelby Justice Dawn Keppler ordered him held in Orleans County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
Morehouse is being held on charges of criminal sale and possession of controlled substance. She also is being held, in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
The investigation was conducted by Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force, Medina Police and the Orleans County District Attorney’s Office.
