Buffalo Bills linebacker Nigel Bradham will appear in Town of Tonawanda Court on Sept. 11 to answer charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and driving a vehicle with illegally tinted windows.
Bradham is scheduled to appear before Judge Daniel T. Cavarello at 5:30 p.m. to lead guilty or not guilty to the non-criminal charges, his attorney, Michael P. Caffery, said on Friday. Bradham, 23, was charged with the two violations by a town officer who pulled him over on Sheridan Drive near Military Road shortly after 2 a.m. on Aug. 17, several hours after a Bills preseason game at Ralph Wilson Stadium. An officer said he stopped Bradham for questioning about illegally tinted windows, and then noticed the smell of burning marijuana in the vehicle.
The officer said Bradham initially denied having marijuana, but then turned over a small plastic bag and admitted that it was marijuana.
Caffery’s football player clients included former Bills’ running back Marshawn Lynch, who was accused of injuring a woman in a downtown Buffalo hit-and-run incident in 2008.
