LOCKPORT – A former Lockport resident, now living in Bridgeport, W. Va., pleaded not guilty Thursday in Niagara County Court to an indictment accusing him of molesting a girl 17 years ago and a woman last year while visiting Lockport.
Andrew K. Peyatt, 55, is charged with predatory sexual assault, which carries a maximum life prison sentence. He also is charged with first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child in connection with an alleged series of incidents with a girl in Lockport in 1996.
Other charges, tied to last year’s alleged incidents with a different female, include four counts of first-degree sexual abuse and single counts of first- and third-degree criminal sexual act. County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas ordered Peyatt, who was convicted of molesting two 6-year-olds in West Virginia in 1991, held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
