NIAGARA FALLS – Staffers and tourists were evacuated from the Maid of the Mist Plaza about about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday when a fire alarm was triggered by dust that had accumulated in the duct work.
The Niagara Falls Fire Department and Niagara Parks Police responded to the River Road facility. Tourists were asked to walk up an access road to the docks or bused to the street, and water was provided to them, authorities said. Elevator service in the building was restored about 10:38 a.m.
